We come out for a free in-home consultation, look at what your home actually pulls, and put together real options for you to choose from.

What this includes

What this looks like

When I look at a panel, I'm thinking about the next twenty-five years of your home, not the next twenty-five minutes of my time. So I look at how the home is wired, what's actually drawing power, what's likely to be added, and I size the panel and the conductors for what's coming, not just what's there.

A lot of the panels I open in the White Mountains have terminations that have never been retorqued since the home was built. Some need a quarter turn, most of the aluminum ones need almost two full turns. Loose terminations create heat, heat creates failure, and failure in a panel is one of the worst places it can happen. A tune-up alone has saved homes from far worse.

Then we put together real options. Sometimes the right answer is a full panel replacement and a service upgrade. Sometimes it's a sub-panel for the garage or the casita so the main panel doesn't get filled past where it should be. Sometimes it's a tune-up and a Whole Home Surge Protection Device. You scroll through the options yourself. You decide which one fits.

We install proven, high-quality panel equipment selected for long-term reliability and safety.

What you should know

We size for the future. If your panel is being replaced, we plan for what you might add later, an EV charger, a hot tub, a backup generator, a sub-panel out back. That foresight is free at install time. Adding it later is not.

We oversize conductors when it makes sense. A circuit run for a future load that we can size up today, sized up today, costs less than tearing it open later.

Loose terminations are not visible from the front of the panel. A torque check, a thermal scan, and a real look inside catch them. We do this on every panel we open, even on a service call.

Permits and utility coordination are part of any panel replacement or service upgrade. We handle the paperwork and the meter pull.

Every panel and every termination we touch is covered by our Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if I need a new panel or just a tune-up?
We tell you straight after looking at it. Sometimes a panel is fine and just needs a torque check and a Whole Home Surge Protection Device. Sometimes the bus is starting to fail or the panel is on the recall list and replacement is the only honest answer. You'll see the evidence either way.
What size panel do I need?
It depends on what your home actually runs and what you're planning. Most modern homes are well served by 200A. Larger homes, homes with electric heat, or homes adding EVs or generators may need more. We size at the consultation.
Will my power be off for the day?
For a full panel replacement, yes, generally most of the day. We coordinate the meter pull and reconnection with the utility so the outage is as short as possible.
Do you replace Federal Pacific, Zinsco, or other recall-list panels?
Yes. Those panels are on our short list of replace-soon, not because of a sales pitch but because they have well-documented failure histories. If you have one, we'll show you why and put together your real options.
Can I add a sub-panel instead of replacing my main?
Sometimes that's the right answer. A sub-panel for a garage, casita, or shop can offload demand from a healthy main panel and give you cleaner circuits where you actually use them. We'll show you both paths if both make sense.
Are surge protectors worth it?
Yes. A Whole Home Surge Protection Device at the panel is one of the highest-value, lowest-friction additions to a panel job. The White Mountains see real lightning. We strongly recommend it.
