What this includes

What this looks like

When I install an EV charger, I think about what you actually drive and what you're going to drive next, and I size the circuit for that. I'd rather oversize the conductor today than have you call me back in three years when you upgrade to a vehicle that pulls more.

I walk your panel first. Some panels have plenty of capacity. Some are already getting filled past where they should be, which means an EV charger added on top is asking for trouble. If your panel is tight, we look at a sub-panel, a service upgrade, or a different placement. You'll see real options before anyone touches a wire.

Then we plan the run. The cleanest install is the one you don't see. A clean conduit path, a thoughtful entry point, a tidy mount. You shouldn't be looking at exposed wire on the side of your garage. You should be plugging in and walking inside.

Hardwired Level 2 chargers are recommended for the most reliable long-term installation.

Load calculations are performed before installation to ensure your system can safely support the charger.

What you should know

Not every panel can support a 50A or 60A circuit without changes. We tell you straight at the consultation. If your panel is full, we walk you through the real options, which may include a sub-panel or a service upgrade.

We can install any Level 2 charger you bring, or recommend one based on your vehicle and your usage. We don't push a specific brand. The best charger is the one that matches your car and your habits.

Outdoor and detached-structure installs are common up here. Conduit, weather, and grounding all need to be done right. We've done plenty.

Every installation is covered by our Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee.

Frequently asked questions

What size charger do I need?
It depends on your vehicle's onboard charger and how much you drive each day. Most homeowners are well served by a 40A or 50A circuit. Some EVs and trucks justify 60A. We size it during the consultation.
Do I need to upgrade my panel?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. We do a real load calculation at the consultation and tell you straight. If your panel is full, we'll show you the options for adding the charger anyway, which may include a sub-panel.
Can you run the charger to a detached garage or carport?
Yes. We trench, conduit-run, or mount as the situation needs. Detached installs add steps but are routine for us.
Do I need a permit?
Most jurisdictions require a permit and inspection for a 240V dedicated circuit. We handle the permit and meet the inspector.
How long does an install take?
Most installs are a single day once scheduled. Sub-panels or service upgrades add a day or two. You'll have a clear timeline at the consultation.
Can I take advantage of utility rebates or tax credits?
Sometimes, depending on the utility and the program. We can point you at the right place to check. We don't manage rebate paperwork but we'll make sure your install meets the requirements where applicable.
