Ceiling Fan Installation in the White Mountains of Arizona

A ceiling fan is one of those jobs that looks simple until it's spinning crooked over your bed. Rizen Electric installs ceiling fans throughout the White Mountains: hung on boxes actually rated to hold them, balanced, and wired with the controls you'll actually use.

What this includes

What this looks like

A ceiling fan has one job: move air quietly for years without drama. Whether it does that comes down to the installation more than the fan.

The thing most people don't know is that a regular ceiling box, the kind behind most light fixtures, is not rated to hold a fan. It will hold one for a while. Then the spinning load works it loose, the wobble starts, and in the bad version of the story the fan ends up on the floor. Every fan we hang goes on a fan-rated box with real structural support. That's not an upsell. It's the difference between an installation and a time bomb.

White Mountains homes add their own wrinkles. Great rooms with vaulted ceilings need the right downrod so the fan actually moves air down where people live. Cabins with exposed beams need mounting that respects the structure. And rooms heated by a wood stove get real value from a fan running the winter direction, pushing the warm air back down off the ceiling.

We finish every fan with the controls sorted: wall switch, remote, or a smart control that joins the rest of your home. Then we balance it so it runs quiet. Every installation carries the Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee, like everything we do.

What you should know

A standard ceiling box is not rated to hold a fan. Plenty of fans up here are hanging from boxes that were never meant to carry a spinning load. If we find one, we fix it as part of the job.

Mountain great rooms with tall ceilings need the right downrod length and mounting for the slope. The fan should move air where you live, not stir the rafters.

Summer and winter directions matter more up here than in the Valley. We'll show you the seasonal switch and when to use it.

Frequently asked questions

Can you install a fan where there's only a light fixture now?
Usually, yes. The wiring is often already there. The box almost never is. We replace it with a fan-rated box with proper support, and add separate switching for the light kit where the wiring allows.
Can you install fans on a vaulted ceiling?
Yes. Sloped and high-ceiling installations are routine for us. The right downrod and a mount rated for the angle, with the work done safely off ladders or scaffolding as the height requires.
My fan wobbles. Do I need a new one?
Not always. A wobble is usually balance, a worn mount, or the wrong box. We diagnose it honestly. If the fan is good, we fix the mounting and balance it rather than selling you a replacement.
Do you supply the fan or do I pick it?
Either. Plenty of customers pick the fan they want and we install it right. If you'd rather we bring options sized for the room, we'll do that too.
